DIAGNOSTIC CARDIOLOGY SERVICES
Services for diagnosis of cardiac conditions including ECG
and echocardiography, followed by treatment pathways that may include referral to partnering cardiology hospitals abroad for corrective surgery.
AMBULATORY CARE
Joint care of the sick child by both our health team and parents across two settings: at home and at health facility. This form of care is offered to children who are sick but have been assessed to have stable systems.
Intravenous lines are inserted and patients stay at home but come for treatment at predetermined times.
Other forms of treatment given on an ambulatory basis include: wound dressing and nebulisation for asthmatics.
INPATIENT SERVICES
Facilities for round the clock admission and treatment of sick children .This service provides processes for close monitoring of symptoms, clinical signs and response to acute treatment. Services are child-friendly and we have created an environment of joint engagement with parents in the care of their children.
NEONATAL SERVICES
Facilities are provided for babies who are ill in the first month of life. This includes nursing them in an incubator which provides optimum temperature and humidity within a sterile compartment. Our Doctors and Nurses are trained to give intensive care to these vulnerable babies.
JAUNDICE UNIT
Jaundice in the neonate can be dangerous leading to permanent disability or dealth if not treated appropriately. We have facilities for diagnosing the severity of jaundice and determining its cause. Phototherapy machines are used for inpatient treatment of moderate jaundice.This provides special light rays that breakdown the yellow pigment(Bilirubin)that has accumulated in the body.
In severe cases of neonatal jaundice an exchange blood transfusion is carried out in our unit by a specialized team.
